This one-woman show takes the audience on a virtual tour of London, highlighting attractions such as Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the Tower of London, the West End, the River Thames and the London Underground. The show also includes brief lessons in Cockney Rhyming Slang, tube etiquette, and what constitutes a Full English.
The colourful characters of 'Bob the Market Trader' and 'Posh Barbara' will be the tour guides taking students around the two sides of London. Bob is a working-class Cockney who will show the students the East End of London - its history, its language, its food, its transport and its culture. Barbara is a rich socialite who will show the students the West End of London - highlighting the political buildings, the royal buildings, the current theatre shows, and the bridges over the River Thames.
'London Abridged!' has been written specifically for schools and students of English. It is aimed at 14 to 18 year olds, involving visual aids, lots of humour, some silliness, and much audience participation. It is educational, enlightening and entertaining!

The show lasts 50 minutes, but a Q&A with the performer - who has lived and worked in London for many years - takes place after the show.
The cost of bringing the show to your school is only €95, including all transport within Belgium, and resources. It is preferable to use the school's projector/beamer, but one can be provided if the school does not have one.
