Drama workshops - held in your school - are an excellent way to improve English language skills.  We have a variety of workshops on offer - such as those detailed below - but we can also work with a school to produce a tailor-made workshop depending on the needs of the school.

This is a workshop that uses improvisation exercises and techniques to give students the chance to develop their English communication skills in a way that brings the language to life.  Because the students have to be spontaneous in their responses, they are able to speak English more naturally and less 'learnt.'  The focus is also on comedy so there are no 'wrong' answers, only fun answers.

This workshop builds on a variety of rehearsal techniques in order to create a finished production at the end.  A rock opera is produced by the students through a series of devised games and exercises.  The students create their own production and therefore each student has the opportunity to contribute as much or as little as they feel comfortable with.

This workshop looks at a variety of scripts - from classics such as Shakespeare through to more modern texts, including Hollywood films and BBC television sitcoms - and uses them to look at the structure of the English language.  Each script is performed in different ways, for example, using a different style or status or genre, and so on.  This brings the scripts to life.  It allows students to be able to use the English language confidentally as they do not have to create the words, only perform the meaning of the words.

The length of the workshop is flexible, depending on its use, but a regular self-contained workshop would normally last approximately three hours. The workshop can also be tailored depending on how many students are taking part and the level of English.  The cost of a three-hour workshop (including all resources necessary and travelling expenses within Belgium) would be €150.

'I asked the students what they thought about the show and workshop and I only received positive reactions! They found the London Abridged show very interesting and they also said that you're very good at keeping them interested and animated during the whole show. They were all in favour of the East End by the way! They also liked the workshop, especially because they grew more and more confident using the English language. I think it was a confirmation for them all that their English is not that bad and that they don't have to be afraid to use it!'
